Council measures to encourage and expand the use of Gaelic are continuing to deliver benefits for young people and communities across Argyll and Bute.

Priorities and plans are already set out to keep Argyll and Bute open for business over the coming winter and these were approved by the council’s Environment, Development and Infrastructure committee on 12 September.

As landfill tax currently costs the council around £3m each year we need to reduce the amount of domestic waste that goes to landfill.

Communities across Argyll and Bute have shared how they are making small changes to the way they travel, where possible, when possible to make a big difference.

The council’s Environmental Health team is working with colleagues in licensing and trading standards to track down, and remove, counterfeit bottles of Glen’s vodka which may have found their way to the local market.
