Unaudited Annual Accounts 2025 – 2026
Unaudited Annual Accounts for the period from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2026
Public notice is given in accordance with the Local Authority Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2014, that:
(a) A copy of the Unaudited Annual Accounts of ¸£Àû¼§ and applicable charities for the period from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026 will be available for inspection on the following website /my-council/financial-statements
(b) Any person interested may object to the annual accounts or to any part of those statements, no later than Friday 24 July 2026, by:
(1) sending their objection in writing, together with a statement of the grounds thereof, to Mark Outterside, Forvis Mazars, 26 Mosley Street, Westgate, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 1DF or by email to mark.outterside@forvismazars.com
(2) sending a copy of that objection and statement to the authority and to any officer of the authority who may be concerned, both at Financial ¸£Àû¼§, Council Headquarters, Kilmory, Lochgilphead, PA31 8RT.
(c) Any request which ¸£Àû¼§ receive in relation to the annual accounts, plus any documents provided, will be published on the same website. When it is not possible to provide the information in electronic format, the request, together with the statement that the authority will not comply, will also be published in the same place on the website as the inspection notice.
(d) The auditor shall, if requested by the person objecting, the authority, or by any officer of the authority who may be concerned, afford to that person or authority or officer, as the case may be, an opportunity of appearing before and being heard by the auditor with respect to that objection; and any such person or officer may so appear and be heard either personally or by a representative.

This Trust Fund is administered by West Dunbartonshire Council but covers the former Dunbartonshire County Council area which includes Helensburgh and Lomond

The Audited Financial Statements give a summary of the Council’s financial activities over the year and show its financial position as of 31 March each year.
The Council must prepare these annual accounts. This follows the Local Authority Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 1985 and the Local Government in Scotland Act 2003.
The main standards used are the Code of Practice on Local Authority Accounting in the UK and the Best Value Accounting Code of Practice, both of which are based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
